Sakura

I decided to take Beaver to Akashi Park today, even though I thought the cherry blossoms were pretty well gone.  I'm so glad I did, because the trees there still looked lovely.  "Hanami" - meaning "flower viewing" - is the tradition of viewing cherry blossoms, and usually involves picnicking under and around the trees.

A little taste of hanami in Akashi koen today:

We loved the cherry blossom festival is DC. It was like it was snowing flowers on a nice spring day.:)
